I came back to the game a couple months ago and today I finally decided to check out LoN for some packs given through the RAF Program. Turns out I have 90 booster packs and don't know where to begin. I'd really like to get some neat stuff for my necro, currently lvl 75, 750 AA, and has his 2.0. I saw some dmg shield illusions, familiars, and mounts that looked interesting. Was wondering if anyone that knew a lot about LoN wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction on what packs to open for a Necro.

In the mean time, I will be researching away. Any input is welcomed.

Mounts are a dime a dozen at this point so I wouldn't waste digging for those.

You'll get about 1 loot per 10 packs. Assume you'll get the crappiest weapon skin out there.

Check out path of the fire numbus. Its tiny but adds more dps.

From the original set there is some good stuff, Scale of Rodcet nife is small but a heal is a heal.
Tear of tranqulity is more silent casting in a way.
Kiss of Mar is more mana. The dragon firmilar is damn good HPs. You also hav a chance to get XP pots.

If you don't care to ever play the game the original set has some great loot.

I actually just finished going through that very website Drazz. Was hoping for a better structured list but I couldn't find one. After looking through all of them, the first set does look like it has the best loot. Thanks for confirming it. Think I will shoot for one of the dmg shield illusions, Kiss of Erollisi, and Tear of Tranq. I didn't see the scale of rodcet nife or that particular dragon familiar, I'll double check on those. Thanks for giving me some direction. =)

id go for illusions. either the tear or kiss is a 5k aggro reduction that does crap. it IS 100% useless. i once had a full tick going on a raid, clicked it, and got summoned the next tick

my target is aspect of the brood, it looks badass.

in regards to path of fire, it adds 6 damage a tick to each fire dot. (or close to 6). it is pretty common (i have 3 or 4 across two accounts) but you can get a crown of fire guaranteed from the tournament pack that was for sale last time i checked. (month ago) it does the same thing

mounts are all cookie cutter though some look cool

another target may be potions or special mercs. can get DA pots from one set

Yep. That was actually the first claimable loot item I ever got. I keep trying to get the Drachnid illusion, but after countless packs (never buy them, just open the ones monthly or with expansions), I still haven't gotten it.

I have the Drachnid Merc and some other one, but can't remember which. I keep the Drachnid one in the pocket for buffs and rezz's.

After opening about 20 packs of the original set I started bouncing around and then focusing my efforts on getting this http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=97729

I lucked up and got it. So far just fooling around powerlvling an alt, I saw it proc around 650 dmg and then it seemed to have some sort of lasting effect though no dmg was showing up. Zams says it's a 300 dmg dot for 1 tick. But i saw no evidence of that.

Love the look and the shield actually has a particle effect of dark smoke coming up out of the middle. A vast improvement over the look of my elegant defiant lawl.

I got the Guard ornament also in one of my last packs (from the expansion, I think). I haven't claimed it on any of my characters tho. I have a couple of the Augs, but all are still available as I'm not sure I want to use them and on which toon.
